Long Exposure - Cars at Night Time

This was my first attempt. I went up onto a bridge, put my camera on a long a shutter speed and captured these lights from the cars below.
I really like this one. While the camera was prossessing the photo, i gently move the camera on the tripod side to side which gave really swirly lights.
I'm not sure on this one, it reminds me too much of fireworks which is slightly irrelevant to what i actually wanted! However, i do think it is really interesting and i love the way the lights makes the sky really blue and vivid. To achieve this effect i moved the camera up and down instead of side to side.

A Walk in the Woods

The other I went on a short walk through the woods and fields. I took advantage of the beautiful weather and decided to take some photographs. I didn't take loads but the ones that i did take i thought were quite interesting and wanted to share them. The one of the house is probably my favoutrite, i love the way the leaves frame the house and make it seem slightly mysterious.

So yeah, today was just a quick post showing you some photographs, i hope you enjoyed reading!

New Camera

My Camera

So about a week ago i got a new camera. I have wanted a DSLR for ages as i have been stuck with my phone camera for a while now. I got the Nikon D3200 in black but it is also available in red. You can buy the whole kit which includes the camera and a 18-55mm VR lens but i decided to just get the body and buy the lens separately which is the Af-S DX NIkkor 35mm lens - dont worry, i dont really understand those letters and numbers either, i'm just reading it off the box!

Above are just a few pictures i've taken and as you can see, my dog has been my model over the past couple of days. The top ones have been taken with a quick shutter speed to catch the water and movement and the bottom ones i have experimented with the black and white effect and depth of field.

I know the pictures aren't particularly interesting, but i've loved figuring out how to use my camera and trying different things so i thought it would be nice to share it with you.
